Someone Should've Told Me

Dee Brooks

This project is a combination of an app checklist and podcast to help users configure their network security. After downloading the app, users are provided several steps to setup devices or routers. These steps will help users who have been hacked or concerned about data breaches. Additionally, the podcast will chronicle my personal story of being hacked to inspired better habits using the internet. The audio podcast and app were used because people are more likely to use their mobile device to find information. This project tackles the problem of users getting hacked because useful information is not promoted to efficiently prevent attacks. In order to make prevention more accessible, information will be provided to mobile devices whether users are on or offline. Mobile apps are the future, kids today can operate mobile devices before they can read. This service is important and can impact the lives of those who have been hacked along with people being introduced to the internet.
