Artist Creation Website

Amanda Easterbrook

The project is a website for freelancers to post their work and content creators to find freelancers to have work done. The field of content creation is new within the past decade and has become incredibly popular within the past few years. Even with content creation, there is a need for graphic designers and artists to help brand their channels. There are a few problems with trying to find people who are looking for artists and work currently. These problems include artists being spread across multiple sites to post their work, reliance of social media, and word of mouth. There is also nowhere for these artists to find work if they are looking for extra projects. Based on research and having spent time as a content creator myself, there are not many websites that offer a place for both posting needs for projects and finding artists easily without endlessly searching through social media and word of mouth from other content creators. This will solve many issues, and both benefit the artist and content creator.

A complete final version of this site would allow for content creators to post ads for things they need done and give artists a place to put their portfolios, terms of service, and prices all in one place. For the terms of this project, I used Wix to create a site from a visitor perspective, someone who is looking for work to be done or a potential future user of the site. I wanted to showcase my idea of UI/UX design, along with my ability to create graphics, logos, and assets needed for a website. I went with a minimalist approach for design, with pops of color throughout. The assets include patterns, and images that appear to be hand drawn by an artist. This gives the site a young, fresh approach, without coming off as for children. The site is not fully developed but is a way to showcase a solution to a problem in an upcoming industry for freelancers and content creators.
